Pre Seminar Checklist
□ Read through the Social workbook from the SALT series and answer the questions.
□ Review the lesson notes in the SALT Instructor’s Guide in preparation to teach each of the four lessons from the Social Area of Life. Review notes on Leading a SALT Group beginning on page iv of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.
□ Make sure you have the Social workbook from the SALT series available for each person attending the workshop.
□ Gather the following supplies: name tags, paper and pens for taking notes.
□ Have a whiteboard, overhead projector or PowerPoint projector for displaying the diagrams.

9:00–9:20 Registration and Fellowship (20 minutes)
9:20–9:30 Welcome (10 minutes)
9:30–10:00 Teach Rejection (30 minutes)
10:00–10:25 Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
10:25–10:35 Break (10 minutes)
10:35–11:05 Teach Judging Others (30 minutes)
11:05–11:30 Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
11:30–12:00 Group Discussion (30 minutes)
12:00–1:00 Lunch (1 hour)
1:00–1:30 Teach Forgiveness (30 minutes)
1:30–2:10 Personal Study Time (40 minutes)
2:10–2:20 Break (10 minutes)
2:20–2:50 Teach Love (30 minutes)
2:50–3:15 Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
3:15–4:00 Group Discussion / Personal Prayer Time (1 hour)

Seminar Elements
Registration and Fellowship (20 minutes)
□ Hand out or have people purchase the Social workbook from the SALT series.
□ Give everyone a name tag as well as paper and pen for taking notes.
□ Have drinks and snacks available, if desired.

Welcome (10 minutes)
□ Welcome all those attending the workshop.
□ Explain workshop schedule (teaching, study time, group time, breaks, and lunch).
□ Prayer

Rejection (30 minutes)
□ Draw diagram and teach from the Lesson Notes beginning on page 61 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.

Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
□ Have participants answer the questions in Chapter One of their Social workbooks.
□ Near the end of study time ask everyone to take time to thank God privately in prayer for who He says they are according to Ephesians 1:3-8.

Break (10 minutes)

Judging Others (30 minutes)
□ Draw diagram and teach from the Lesson Notes beginning on page 67 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.

Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
□ Have participants answer the questions in Chapter Two of their Social workbooks.
□ Near the end of study time ask everyone to take time to repent of ways they have judged others.

Group Discussion (30 minutes)
□ Lead a group discussion of Social Lessons One and Two. Follow the Group Guides on pages 60 and 66 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.

Lunch (1 hour)

Forgiveness (30 minutes)
□ Draw diagram and teach from the Lesson Notes beginning on page 73 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.

Personal Study Time (40 minutes)
□ Have participants answer the questions in Chapter Three of their Social workbooks. (25 minutes)
□ Ask each person to turn to page 39 in their Social workbooks. Have each participant take time to complete the lists. Encourage them to use the four keys as they pray through forgiving their offender. Walk around and answer any questions. (15 minutes)

Break (10 minutes)

Love (30 minutes)
□ Draw diagram and teach from the Lesson Notes beginning on page 79 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide.

Personal Study Time (25 minutes)
□ Have participants answer the questions in Chapter Four of their Social workbooks.

Group Discussion / Personal Prayer Time (45 minutes)
□ Lead a group discussion of Social Lessons Three and Four. Follow the Group Guide on pages 72 and 78 of the SALT Instructor’s Guide. (30 minutes)
□ Have each person pray and ask God if there’s someone they need to seek forgiveness from. Have them write down the name of the person and when and how they are going to seek forgiveness. (10 minutes)

□ End the conference by having everyone write down the name of someone they need to show love to even though they don’t feel like it. Have them write down what action God wants them to take to love that person. Encourage them to follow through by making forgiveness and sacrificial love a lifestyle.(5 minutes)
